Miles William - Birth

Miles' story is one that I don't think I will ever forget. The biggest reason being, he was born on Christmas Eve. Due to other health issues his mama was set to be induced. The evening she went in she had started running a fever. The induction was pushed back a few days to make sure everyone was perfectly healthy before meeting a new baby. This ended up meaning he would be born on Christmas Eve. The induction was started and things took off on their own. Progress was being made and it was pretty clear that Miles would be making his appearance sooner rather than later. Around the time that we all thought pushing would begin, mama started running a fever. after a few hours of antibiotics, contractions that slowed to a standstill, and a baby that didn't want to move down any more, the decision was made to move to a c-section. Thankfully, Miles was doing fantastically and this was not an emergent situation. Baby Miles arrived healthy and hungry!

Spending Christmas welcoming a new baby is one of the most special Christmas experiences that I have ever had. I'm so happy that I was able to help welcome this sweet boy.

Ruger - Fresh 48

About 24 hours after Ruger was born, I headed back up to the hospital. Big brother was there and he was so happy to be back with his mama! It is always so amazing to me how different babies look after just 24 hours. This boy had a sweet head full of hair and was so content the whole time I was there.

Ruger Axel - Birth

Ruger made his entrance in a fast and furious way! He kept us all guessing in the weeks leading up to his birth. He was head down, then breech, then head down again much to his mama's relief. The morning that I met Tyler and Kyl up at the hospital, we went in not sure which way he was going to be delivered. They had prepared to see a breech baby and since he had turned they went ahead with an induction. It did not take long at all for things to get rolling and within 4 hours Ruger was here! This mama labored hard but was well supported by Kyl. It really was so awesome to be in the room and witness the moment of his birth. (Also, take note of mama's tattoo. She had both of her boys with her all morning. I'll be posting big brother meeting Ruger next!)

Della Ray - Birth

I met Raya this past spring through our local MOPS. We really got to know each other though when we started taking the same class at the gym! I was so excited when she asked me to come and document Della's birth. I have to say, I think Della's big sister and brother stole the show that day. They were so excited to come in and meet the new baby. Big sister couldn't get enough of Della! Congratulations to this sweet family of 5!

Isaac & Olivia - Engagement

Olivia's dream has been to take her engagement pictures in Charleston, SC in the Avenue of Oaks at Charles Towne Landing. So that is exactly what we did. We spent a couple of hours at the historic site and then spent another few hours wandering around downtown Charleston. It was such a fun weekend exploring a new city and shooting this session.

Brock Family

In June I got to meet up again with the Brock family. If you missed Caroline's newborn session from December, you should check it out. She is a doll! This time we did a full family session and a mini 6 month session as well. This family is so sweet and I so enjoy working with them.
